Project Good Life course content is based on the 5 pillars of well-being from Seligman’s PERMA theory:

Positive emotions

The frequency with which individuals experience positive emotions is unsurprisingly linked to whether they will flourish. Due to emotional contagion, the emotional states of individuals can have a huge influence on the atmosphere and energy of any environment. We will explore strategies that can be quickly implemented to increase positive emotions.

Engagement

When the level of challenge and skill are equal, an individual can enter into a state of flow.We will explore how these two conditions can be created to allow individuals to enter this optimal state.

Relationships

According to the longest study on human happiness, the main influence on our ability to flourish is the quality of our social connections. Communication, social comparison and listening skills are examined to help bolster our ability to form strong relationships.

Meaning and accomplishment

Through introspection and self- reflection, we explore our values, character strengths and limiting beliefs. Drawing on neuroscience, we will begin establishing more helpful thought patterns and map out a more meaningful and satisfied future.

Scientifically validated questionnaires and surveys are used as both a diagnostic tool and as a metric for measuring progress.
